Dr. Pratt routinely performs these procedures in the office under local anesthesia. A mild oral sedative is available upon request. The procedures usually take thirty to forty five minutes and have no down time. Return to unlimited activity is the norm. Sutures are usually removed in one week. Patients are asked to avoid aspirin products and anti-inflammatory medicines for two weeks prior to surgery. Antibiotics and a pain medicine will be prescribed to you prior to your surgery date.
