Captique Facial Filler in Seattle

Also serving Bellevue, Kirkland, & Everett

Captique is a new, non-animal-sourced “hyaluronic acid” similar to Restylane in form and function. It is a clear gel that is used for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and lines. No skin testing is required, thus no waiting for test results. Captique can be administered during your first visit. View Dr. Pratt’s photo gallery.

How is Captique different from the rest of the Liquid Youth injectables?

Captique has been shown to have a lower incidence of swelling following treatment than other fillers, and if swelling occurs at all, it tends to dissipate in a matter of hours. Also, Captique has been found to be a softer than other soft tissue fillers.

Are there other facial fillers that contain Hyaluronic Acid?

Yes, Restylane®, Hylaform, Juvederm, and Perlane®.

Who will perform my Captique injection?

Dr. Pratt personally performs all of the injections done in our office including the local anesthetic if one is needed, so you can rest assured that you will have someone who is not only technically very skilled, but also artistically gifted performing your procedure. Dr. Pratt believes in subtle, natural looking enhancements. His ultimate goal is that you leave with a well rested, relaxed, and refreshed appearance.

The procedure

You will be advised to avoid any aspirin products or Motrin type drugs before and after your injection in order to minimize bruising. Dr. Pratt will apply a numbing agent prior to your injection. The entire procedure takes approximately fifteen minutes for one area. You may resume normal activities immediately following your injection.

Captique results typically last six to twelve months, so you may wish to schedule follow up treatments one to two times yearly to maintain your enhanced look.

Are the injections painful?

No, since Dr. Pratt will numb the area prior to the injection you will feel no pain during the procedure.

What is recovery like?

Most people feel completely comfortable resuming their daily activities immediately after treatment. You may experience some temporary puffiness, temporary blushing, slight bruising, or tenderness at the site of injection, but this is usually short-lived and can be easily camouflaged with makeup. Avoidance of aspirin and ibuprofen type products prior to injection will help minimize the bruising effect. For the first twenty four hours following treatment, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure.

What other treatments will complement my Captique injection?

As a Seattle Botox specialist, Dr. Pratt often will perform simultaneous Botox® injections for relief of the effect of the underlying muscles on wrinkle and fold creation, especially in the brow and “crow’s foot” regions. In addition, Dr. Pratt also provides other youth-restoring treatments, including lip augmentation and Radiesse.
